The Generic Compatible SFP-DD Active Optical Cables (AOC) are direct-attach fibre assembly with SFP-DD connectors and runs over OM4 multimode fibre (MMF). The AOC is compliant with the hot-pluggable SFP-DD MSA and RoHS standards. It offers a cost-effective solution for 100Gbps connectivity, compared to using discrete optical transceivers and fibre patch cords. They are suitable for very short distances and offer an economical solution to connect within racks and across adjacent racks.
