The QSFP28 transceiver is a quad small form-factor pluggable module delivering 100GBASE-BX connectivity over single-mode fiber (SMF) with a transmission reach of up to 80 km. It operates on 1310nm-TX/1270nm-RX wavelengths and uses a standard LC connector. The module integrates cooled 4 × 25 Gb/s LAN-WDM NRZ EML lasers, ensuring stable and reliable performance, and is well suited for deployment in legacy 100G switches and routers. Compliant with the QSFP28 MSA standard, the 100G BX80 transceiver supports RoHS-10 lead-free environmental requirements and features Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) via an I²C interface, enabling real-time monitoring of key operational parameters.
