The 400G OSFP to 400G QSFP-DD DAC provides a 400G copper direct-attach solution with a Flat-top (OSFP-RHS) form factor, suitable for very short links and offers a cost-effective way to establish a 400-Gigabit link between 400G ports of switches/routers within racks and across adjacent racks. It is compliant with OSFP MSA, QSFP-DD MSA and IEEE 802.3bs standards.
This DAC is designed with ultra-low loss materials, square rings, twisted pair cable 8 wires and shell extension construction for superior mechanical properties and bending performance. It supports 8x50G PAM4 modulation on both ends, and is primarily used to connect a 400G QSFP-DD switch to OSFP-based 400G network adapter cards. It is tested in actual switching systems to ensure optimal signal integrity and the best end-to-end performance, ideal for SDN, ML, and Cloud Computing.
Note:When the 400G OSFP RHS/Flat Top to QSFP-DD DAC is used with NVIDIA ConnectX-7 OSFP NICs, ensure the NIC firmware version is between 28.42.1000 and 28.44.1206 to guarantee stable 400G 8x 50G PAM4 link performance.
Note:"Finned-top" transceivers are now called "Integrated Heat Sink" (IHS) as the cooling fins are integrated into the OSFP connector metal top. Commonly used in air-cooled switches. "Flat-top" transceivers are now called "Riding Heat Sink" (RHS) as the cooling fins ride on top of the network card or systems internal cages. This is used for both air-cooled and liquid-cooled applications for DGX, ConnectX-7 and BlueField-3 DPUS.
