The 400G OSFP to 400G QSFP-DD DAC provides a 400G copper direct-attach solution and it is suitable for very short links and offer a cost-effective way to establish a 400-Gigabit link between400G ports of switches/routers within racks and across adjacent racks. This DAC is designed with ultra-low loss materials, square rings, twisted pair cable 8 wires and shell extension construction for superior mechanical properties and bending performance. It is tested in actual switching systems to ensure optimal signal integrity and the best end-to-end performance, ideal for SDN, ML, and Cloud Computing.
Note:
1. This 400G QSFP-DD end operates on 4x100G-PAM4 modulation, making it suitable for downspeeding on 800G QSFP-DD switches that support channel disabling (i.e., operating with only 4 lanes enabled). It is not compatible with 400G QSFP-DD switches that use 8x50G-PAM4 modulation.
Note:"Finned-top" transceivers are now called "Integrated Heat Sink" (IHS) as the cooling fins are integrated into the OSFP connector metal top. Commonly used in air-cooled switches. "Flat-top" transceivers are now called "Riding Heat Sink" (RHS) as the cooling fins ride on top of the network card or systems internal cages. This is used for both air-cooled and liquid-cooled applications for DGX, ConnectX-7 and BlueField-3 DPUS.
